NHEMA is a professional organization representing school library media professionals and paraprofessionals. We are an affiliate of AASL, The American Association of School Librarians. We provide our members with a forum for the exchange of ideas and with opportunities for professional growth through publications, conferences, and staff development workshops.

NHEMA'S mission is to ensure that all members of the New Hampshire school community become effective users of ideas and information, and school library media programs are an integral part of the teaching/learning process in every New Hampshire school. Ten Good Reasons to Use the Library.

NHEMA'S logo is available in a variety of formats and in color and black and white. NH school librarians may use this logo on their web site or other publications for promoting our state organization. Click here.

NHEMA stimulates professional growth by:

bulletFacilitating staff development opportunities for educators in cooperation with other state professional organizations.
bulletStrengthening NH's school media programs by providing a network of mutual support.
bulletKeeping educators informed about changing trends in the profession.
bulletMonitoring and working to uphold professional standards.
bulletProviding scholarship opportunities for continuing education.
